Why 35 athletes were suspended from London 2012 Olympics?

The Ethiopian Athletics Federation has suspended 35 athletes for failing to report to an early-January training camp. The Olympic champions Kenenisa Bekele and Tirunesh Dibaba are also effected.
While the suspension threatens to keep the two distance runners from competing at the London Olympics in 2012, the suspension will be lifted for any of the 35 athletes who report to future camps, said Bisrat Gashawten federation president.
